I don't date based on looks! I want to enjoy my cigars. I find it easiest to remove the band once the burn line gets close and the adhesive has been warmed up. Peeling off a footband cold creates a minor inconvenience in my relaxation hobby. Get 'em outta here!
Interesting take @SpeedHerfer47 - wondering why you feel so passionately about footbands? Are you against footbands specifically? Or does this include foot ribbons as well?
I have to disagree - the foot band can really elevate the packaging and give a clean look to a product. Take Mil Dias for example, the footband really makes that cigar pop IMO.
