Fabrica Oveja Negra is as good as it comes to producing some of the best limited-edition blends that Nicaragua has to offer. And although the factory is best known as the home of brands like Black Label Trading Co. and BLK WKS Studios, the Emilio brand (also produced at Fabrica Oveja Negra) has been quietly sneaking under the radar over the past few years. Arguably Emilio's all time greatest release, Audiophile is back for another stint to impress boutique smokers everywhere.
Featuring a dark Ecuadorian maduro wrapper overtop an Ecuadorian habano binder and a potent yet balanced blend of Nicaraguan long fillers, Audiophile is any bold-lovers' dream. Expect notes of light espresso and toasted almonds layered with earthy and woody undertones that are rounded out with an unforgettably spicy finish. Whether you are new to the Emilio brand or not, Audiophile is an easy recommendation on my part.
