It seems like every cigar company makes an anniversary blend (or 6) at some point, but I can assure you that some brands do it better than others. It's hard to believe that Rocky Patel's Vintage Series has been around for two decades, but here we are. I was admittedly a little bit skeptical that Vintage 20th Anniversary was going to be some kind of gimmick, but after finally smoking the blend, I was pleasantly surprised.
The 20th Anniversary blend starts with a thick, and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper overtop a rich Brazilian binder, and a blend of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. Full-bodied and characterized by notes of dark chocolate, oak, and leather, and a smooth and nutty finish, Rocky Patel Vintage 20th Anniversary is a blend deserving of the "Anniversary" moniker.
